Welcome to the Robert M. Ransom Medical Library at Middle Tennessee Medical Center!

The mission of the Robert M. Ransom Medical Library is to support the educational, research, and administrative activities of Middle Tennessee Medical Center and Saint Thomas Health.  Whether providing resources to assist those in clinical services, educational programs or personal enrichment, Saint Thomas Health library personnel are dedicated to supplying the most relevant and needed tools in support of continued learning and excellence in patient care.

Where is the library located?
The Library is located on the first floor, next to the Physicians Dining Room, in the Administration area.

How do I contact the library?
The library’s main number is (615) 396-4672. It is staffed most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. If you need assistance at any other time please leave us a message.  Voice mail is checked daily.

Who works in the Library?
We encourage you to stop by on staffed days to meet your library and CME staff:

How is the library accessible during those hours that it is not staffed?
Physicians and clinical staff may access the library at any time via badge access or by contacting security at extension 4288. 

What services do we offer?
We offer all services that are available to staff at the other hospitals. Many of our services can be delivered via your desktop.
